Our garage floor so was pitted and cracked from over 50 years of accumulated salt damage that I had to blow or vacuum every couple of months to remove the latest collection of rocks and chips that had eroded from the concrete. Chris ground the floor about 1/4 inch, filled in the cracks and larger pits, and water-sealed it. After prepping it the next day they spread an adhesive and then the flake, and finished with the topcoat.
The difference is immediate and striking - 24 hours later I'm walking barefoot on our new garage floor. While it needs a full week to finish curing, it's a smooth, durable surface that can be easily cleaned and small nuts, washers, or bicycle parts aren't going to be hidden and lost; the lighter finish even makes the space brighter as well!
