The System Architecture

Layer 1: Moisture Vapor Barrier (MVB)

The foundation of the system is a high-solids, deep-penetrating epoxy primer designed specifically as a Moisture Vapor Barrier.

Vapor Mitigation: Blocks up to 20 lbs of moisture vapor pressure, preventing the most common cause of floor failure: osmotic blistering.

Mechanical Bond: Formulated to “wet out” the concrete, creating a root-like bond within the slab capillaries.

Eliminates Hot Tire Pick-Up: Ensures the coating stays fused to the concrete even under high-heat tire traction.

Layer 2: Full-Broadcast Decorative Flakes

While the MVB layer is still open, vinyl flakes are broadcast to refusal, covering every square inch of the floor.

• Impact Resistance: Adds a thick, sacrificial layer that protects the concrete from dropped tools and heavy impacts.

• Texture & Safety: Provides a uniform, slip-resistant “orange peel” texture for increased safety in wet conditions.

• Aesthetic Depth: Available in a wide variety of color blends to hide dust and debris while providing a granite-like finish.

Layer 3: High-Performance Polyaspartic Topcoat

The system is sealed with a high-solids Polyaspartic clear coat for maximum surface protection.

• UV Stability: 100% UV stable; this floor will not yellow, amber, or chalk over time, even in areas with direct sunlight.

• Chemical Shield: Impervious to gasoline, oil, road salts, and most household chemicals.

• Fast Return to Service: Engineered for high-speed curing, allowing for foot traffic and vehicle use much faster than standard epoxy.
